Abstract
Background and Aims:
Hair loss or alopecia is one of the most frequent reasons to visit a dermatology clinic. It is a condition affecting men, women, and kids. Over half of men and one-third of women will at some point in their lives experience hair loss. Various therapies are employed to address the various forms of hair loss. Vitamins and supplements are the most often used, prescribed, and well-known remedies. This study aimed to assess the attitudes and practices of using multivitamins for the treatment of hair falls.

Methods:
This cross-sectional study was conducted among students at Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed among students using an online survey. The questionnaire comprised socio-demographic characteristics, use of multivitamins for hair fall, attitude towards using multivitamins and multivitamin’s side effects.

Results:
Of the 745 students, 75.8% were females, and 58.4% were aged between 18 and 20 years old. The prevalence of students who suffered hair loss was 82.8%. 41.1% used multivitamins for hair loss. Female students and increasing age were identified as the independent significant predictors of multivitamin use for the treatment of hair fall.

Conclusions:
The use of multivitamins for the treatment of hair fall was prevalent among university students. Independent predictors of multivitamins used were female gender and increasing age. Students' attitudes toward multivitamin use were generally positive, but there was no difference in terms of gender and age. More research is needed to determine our region's attitudes and practices toward multivitamin use for treating hair fall.
